Today you will begin to learn about Adobe Photoshop. It's a software to manipulate PIXELS in photos. Most of you, I'm sure, have heard about it or have used it at some point. It is a really wonderful tool. It is very similar to Adobe Illustrator, but Illustrator manipulates VECTORs.
Your Adobe Photoshop is located in the same folder (in your applications) as Illustrator (Adobe Design Premiere Suite) The tutorial below is for CS6 but we work with CS5 but they are very similar.- View tutorial below
- Create your first Photoshop file
- Download any JPEG from the internet (school appropriate)
- Open Adobe Photoshop
- Open the file you just downloaded
- Now test out the tool bar on your image
- Post your BEFORE and AFTER on the google classroom assignment
- SAVE AS JPEG > Label it as NAME_PS_TEST
- Due END OF BLOCK TODAY 11/22 (Minor Grade)
TIP: If you don't see your tool bar or if it disappears - go to WINDOWS > WORKSPACE > ESSENTIALS
